In short: New student ID cards contain microchips that allow students to scan on and off buses, pay for lunch, check out library books, and more.
PMS issued microchip IDs to all returning 7th and 8th grade students last year. Students are encouraged to find and reuse those IDs. All 7th and 8th grade students will also receive a new non-microchip ID at no charge this school year.
Incoming sixth-grade students and newly enrolled 7th and 8th grade students will receive their first microchip ID free of charge during the first few days of school.
Replacement IDs
A fee will be charged for replacement IDs. Cash and credit cards are accepted.
- Microchip ID: $5
- Non-microchip ID: $2
Temporary IDs
Students who misplace their permanent ID may receive a temporary ID for the day. Repeated use of temporary IDs will result in the following disciplinary actions:
- 3 temporary IDs: Lunch detention
- 7 temporary IDs: Parent/administrator conference
- 10 temporary IDs: One day of in-school suspension (ISS)

PMS FALL FEST: Seeking Volunteers
We are seeking volunteers to help unload materials from Mrs. Bartlett’s truck in the back of our school, from 9am to 11am, for the annual PMS Pfall Fest Haunted House". Assistance is needed on Saturday, October 24, 2026, to prepare for the assembly of the event."
Additionally, we are looking for volunteers on Saturday, October 31st, immediately following the event, to help pack up the decorations and load them into Ms. Bartlett's truck. Thank you for your support!

Welcome back 8th grade NJHS students. Many of you have already been at the school helping our new community settle in and for that I thank you. Please stop by my room (B109) to receive your volunteer hours form. I will sign them. Our meetings are scheduled for the rest of the year. They will take place on Mondays during advisory.

As we kick off a new school year, we are excited to welcome everyone back to campus! Whether you're returning for another year or walking through our doors for the first time, you have an important role in making our school a place where everyone belongs.
We are proud to be a No Place for Hate campus, and that means more than having a title. It means taking action.
Being No Place for Hate means:
Including others
Invite someone to join your group, sit with you at lunch, or be part of the conversation.
Using your voice
Speak up when you see someone being treated unfairly or hear words that hurt others.
Celebrating differences
Our school is made up of people with different cultures, backgrounds, interests, talents, and experiences. Those differences make us stronger.
Being an upstander
Don't just watch when something isn't right. Be the person who chooses to help.
Choosing kindness
You never know what someone else may be going through. A small act of kindness can completely change someone's day.
Our No Place for Hate Coalition is dedicated to fostering a more inclusive and welcoming campus by providing various activities, lessons, challenges, and celebrations all year long. Together, we will engage in meaningful discussions, learn from one another, and celebrate our community as we work to make our school a better place for all.

Our first week of school is over and we could not be more excited and proud of our students, staff, and parents. Our students responded well to new routines and high expectations and participated in building a positive learning environment. Our focus last week was getting to class on time and our students showed up. This week, we work on wearing our IDs.
NEED TO KNOW:
- PMS is a Title 1 school and we are funded on how many students qualify for free and reduced lunch. Please help fund our school by applying. Campus Competition: Any classes that get 100% submission by September 4th will receive a pizza party on September 18th.
- PfISD offers FREE Breakfast to all students. Please encourage your students to eat their breakfast.
- FIRST Day of School Attendance: Students who do not show up the first day of school will be a NO SHOW withdrawal. Parents will need to come in to re-enroll the student. After August 24th, any student that was a no show must complete a new student registration packet and provide required documentation.

- IPR 1 Ends 8/28
- IPR 2 Ends 9/18 (Gain or Lose Eligibility)

Student ID Updates

In short: New student ID cards contain microchips that allow students to scan on and off buses, pay for lunch, check out library books, and more.
PMS issued microchip IDs to all returning 7th and 8th grade students last year. Students are encouraged to find and reuse those IDs. All 7th and 8th grade students will also receive a new non-microchip ID at no charge this school year.
Incoming sixth-grade students and newly enrolled 7th and 8th grade students will receive their first microchip ID free of charge during the first few days of school.
Replacement IDs
A fee will be charged for replacement IDs. Cash and credit cards are accepted.
- Microchip ID: $5
- Non-microchip ID: $2
Temporary IDs
Students who misplace their permanent ID may receive a temporary ID for the day. Repeated use of temporary IDs will result in the following disciplinary actions:
- 3 temporary IDs: Lunch detention
- 7 temporary IDs: Parent/administrator conference
- 10 temporary IDs: One day of in-school suspension (ISS)
- More than 10 Temporary IDs: Additional suspensions and parent/student contract
